The Markets War, for Android

Develop an App for iOs, do it for Android or go for it all and do it for the two major operating systems. These are the options that every company or individual has when considering having an App. The objective is to reach the maximum number of people and while one gives you prestige, the other guarantees you market share. The war of the markets to have the maximum number of Apps (in addition to the best ones) is bloody and although we could speak of a technical tie, for the moment it is being led by Google Play . The observatory appfigures has launched this week the comparison between the three main App stores in the world: Google Play , iTunnes and Amazon . Although the latter has experienced a remarkable penetration rate, it is clear that 90% of the pie is taken by the official iOs and Android markets. And it is precisely the robot company that takes the cake with almost a million and a half apps under its belt. Those of Cupertino have in stock 1.21 million of applications available for users of their iPhone and iPad. This is the first time that Google surpasses Apple in volume of apps in its market. Apps activas Apple ‘s dominance in application development was based on two clear reasons. On the one hand the prestige. Apple, with its strict publication standards, offers total and absolute guarantees to developers and users that the App in question meets the technical requirements for its perfect operation. Likewise, by type of user, Paid Apps and, therefore, the monetization of applications, have more and greater acceptance. On the other hand, the second great reason and perhaps the most important reason for iTunnes to be the undisputed leader was that with fewer devices and very specific specifications, developing an App was much easier. The diversity of devices, although it has served for Android to occupy a preeminent position in Europe, with different measures and technical specifications for each terminal and manufacturer, has traditionally been the great enemy of App developers. This particularity is what explains why many Apps reached the Apple market first than Google . With the appearance of new app creation systems, such as King of App , access to the different markets has become universal. Also, of course, the growing development of this sector that already has 390,000 developers registered in Google Play and another 280,000 for Apple. Having to pay an annual fee to sign up as a developer on iOs may explain this difference. Be that as it may, and numerical differences aside, what seems smarter today is to develop apps for both systems. When, in custom projects, this can suppose a budget extra cost difficult to justify and even amortize, bet on platforms such as King of App is a fast and cheap option to access both markets.
