Although both the devices equipped with the latest versions of each of the manufacturers present similar “hang-up” rates, it seems that the latest evolution from Google, Android Lollipop , wins this battle. The difference between operating systems is minimal, only three tenths, but the curious thing is that until the launch of the new versions, Apple was ahead of Google by more than half a point.
With the arrival of versions 5.0 of Android and 8.0 of Apple the distances in reliability have been reduced substantially. Currently an iPhone hangs 2.2% of times while an Android phone does it 1.9%. However, the results on previous versions were 2.6% for Android terminals and 1.9% for iPhone . It seems, although surely it has not been the case, that, with the new evolutions of the operating system, Apple would have relaxed (or launched a less refined product) while Google would have put the batteries.
Be that as it may, these indexes have a determining factor in the case of Android : the terminal. While an iPhone has specific technical characteristics, Android terminals are different from each other. Each processor offers a certain performance so, even though it is precise, it makes it difficult to stabilize the results.
All in all, the stability of mobile technology is almost 100%, which guarantees high levels of user satisfaction, a reason enough to justify its rapid and massive market penetration.
