Apps healthier than an apple

Quit smoking, be more consistent, exercise … They could be part of the typical wish list that many of us consider every start of the year. Most of these wishes will remain in the gutter, many will not deserve a futile attempt on our part. However, as it is never too late if happiness is good, for all of you who still believe that you can with these new basic principles of life there is a list of Apps that can help you improve your habits. To be more constant, Procraster comes to our screens. It is an App that will help us to organize our tasks in such a way that we never miss doing them or, rather, so that we have no excuse not to do them. With this App we can define well the tasks to be carried out, set goals, spend time analyzing self-progress and reward ourselves for the achievements achieved. Another option, much more fun than the rest of the applications to make to-do lists and create reminders of everything we have to do throughout the day is YellingMom (“screaming mom”) … you can imagine what this App is about, truth? An App that can become a clear success, and not only because it is free, is Quit It, an application that empirically demonstrates, with numbers, how good it is … to quit smoking! money saved, number of cigarettes not smoked, the amount of pollutants expelled from the body, etc. All the data to refute any attempt to light a cigarette and throw away those titanic efforts that you have been making since day 1. First week passed! 😉 Another App that also aims to minimize the effect of tobacco in our lives is Kwitt (iOS and Android, US $ 1.99). Even having to pay for it, this application presents us in the form of a game with different challenges to overcome addiction. Smoking, however, is perhaps not the only badly recommended vice that directly threatens our health. Eating and following a healthy and balanced diet is also a very typical challenge at the beginning of the year. To put junk food aside forever, two Apps: Fooducate and Diet Point, for iOS and Android. Both are free and offer nutritional guides and personal recommendations for following a diet, as well as the ability to scan the barcodes of certain products, check their caloric content and other nutritional information. Unfuck Your Habitat is a tool that with a touch of a certain bad temper and a peculiar language “forces” you not to put aside housework. Includes Random Challenges, Programmable Challenges, Surmountable Achievements, and Break “Bonuses,” among others. There are plenty of apps to help us be more active and get some exercise, but perhaps Nexercise (iOS and Android, free) and Endomondo (iOS and Android, free) are the most widespread. The first is an app that makes exercise a game, and the second is a community to share the goals achieved (calories consumed, reduced weight, progress in certain sports practices, etc.). Finally, the list is completed with an App that will help us improve oral hygiene. When are the two minutes we have to spend brushing our teeth over? Well when the song ends. This is how Brush DJ (iOS and Android, free) presents it to us, an app created by a dentist that will make brushing your teeth really fun.
