Keys in a safe place

Work email, personal email, advertising email, access to Facebook, Twitter -which can be the same as Facebook-, bank account, Hootsuite, Mention, Dropbox … It will be for passwords ! It is evident that the need for a password manager is becoming more and more essential. Apps like 1Password or LastPass are two of the best options when choosing one to trust. 1Password has recently introduced a series of improvements that make it perhaps the most complete App for password management. Multiplatform (for computer and mobile) so that we can always use it, it works under a single access and the novelty of the generation of codes for two-step verification. LastPass , very widespread among Apple users, is also cross-platform and is installed as a complement in the main browsers ( Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari and Internet Explorer ). Passwords are encrypted locally. DashLane , the third option in contention, is also cross-platform and stores not only access credentials but can also keep our bank account numbers . All of them have a free version and a paid version, with many more options. Betting on a password manager is, without a doubt, a way to streamline our day-to-day lives, since there are many access credentials that are handled throughout the day. However, we must also take into account the risk of entrusting all our data to an external service that, in the event of a computer attack, can expose a large part of our privacy. Fortunately, services of this type have maximum security systems .
