King of App

Apple: no fans, no followers

See, be silent and interpret. This seems to be the chosen strategy. And, as much as it may surprise, Apple is not or does not participate in any social network; at least officially. Apple's communication policy is so carefully thought out that, evidently, not having profiles on Twitter, Facebook or similar is not, in any way, an oversight.

Apple's approach is simple: Why talk about us if our clients already do it for us?And of course, since they generally speak well, all the better. This way, Apple can focus on other things that are much less trivial than thinking about its communication strategy with the fans, such as making top quality phones, computers, etc. That is what has given them prestige and results and they will continue to do so.

For many, this may seem like a rather haughty attitude compared to the legion of followers of the bitten apple, but that's how they are. They do everything that way, so why would they change? They are different and they don't even flinch when they see that their biggest competitors, Samsung, have thousands of followers on any of the social networks consulted.

The market is not on the net. Networks don't sell, products do. And so they have established themselves as market leaders, opinion makers and a near-perfect profit-making machine for every product they bring to market. When innovation and high-quality experience are the hallmarks a company wants to be known for, being a brand that takes part in social confrontations goes against that image. So… black and white.

By the way, does anyone know what phone Mark Zuckerberg uses? Somehow, iPhone… 😉
