On the web world there are different resources to store our content. On video there is Youtube, on photography there is Instagram and for audio there is SoundCloud. They are just three examples of sources that can be integrated into an app and therefore we have taken care of programming specific modules for each of them. Today, in this tutorial series, we will talk about Soundcloud and how this module is configured.
Making your life easier, the configuration of this module is also very simple. We only ask for a few details to fill so all your audio gallery be available to any user. The fields are: “Client ID” and “track”. The first one is the user identification of the account and the other the “track” or audio track you want to play on your App.
To get the ID user simply visit the SoundCloud page for developers. Once registered with the user account you just have to go to “Create New App”. Once created Soundcloud provide all information related to the account and, between them, it will give your “Client ID”. Copy and paste this code in the configuration field and you will be 50% done.
To determine the “track” to play, the steps are also very simple. You should go to the audio and in the “share” section you must find the embed code, as if we wanted to add it to any web page. On this will be very easy to find the track identifier.
An example of code that you will be able to get from Soundcloud is this:
<iframe width=”100%” height=”450″ scrolling=”no” frameborder=”no” src=”https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=https%3A//api.soundcloud.com/tracks/197429521&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true”></iframe>
The ID track is the one highlighted.
As you can see this module configuration is really simple (although it does not look that way). So go ahead, try it, and upload all your audio to your App.
